Most of us who are adults today did not have our first mobile until adolescence or adulthood (and of course it was basic mobiles). Today however, the Android phones they have become a fairly common gift in communions or even for younger children.
But, precisely because our generation did not live with technology from such an early age, many parents doubt whether their children are too small to have access to calls, Internet and applications out of control. And although there are no clear rules in this area, we are going to try to help parents decide.
What is the best time to buy a mobile for your children?
Depends on the maturity of the child
We cannot say that there is a specific age to give a smartphone to a child, but we do need to be clear that our children have the sufficient maturity to put it to proper use. If we think that our little ones are going to spend without control or give your number to strangers, without being aware of the dangers that this entails, it may be better to wait a little longer, before putting an Android or any other type of mobile device in your hands.

Although we see that our children, nephews, brothers have the maturity to handle a mobile, it is important that we always control the use they make of it. Ideally, we do not allow the child, at least until adolescence, to use the mobile phone when one of their parents is not in front of.
The applications of parental control, which prevent the child from entering certain websites or downloading applications without the parents first entering a password, can be a good option to prevent having a smartphone from being a risk for the little ones. But above all it is vital that we have a talk with our children, in which we explain the dangers that they can find in the network. If you are going to use social networks, make sure it is a private user and with control of those who want to follow you.
Banning is not the solution
We may be tempted to think that the best solution so that our children are not in danger by using the mobile is that we prohibit the use of these devices. But the reality is that are part of today's life, and an iron ban, could cause more harm than good, not being up to the task of handling these devices, when compared to their friends who do have access.
