In the Google Hangouts Android application, we can record videos of a maximum of one minute of duration. In iOS meanwhile, the duration of these messages will rise to two minutes. It is curious that in the case of a Google application, it allows more possibilities for Apple devices than for its own operating system, but for the purpose of these messages, it is more than enough.
Let us remember that the idea of this new function is not to retransmit live video, but simply to share specific moments with our friends and acquaintances.
Very similar to Snapchat
The system for sending video messages is quite simple. We will only have to enter the recording menu, press the record button, and once the video is finished it will be sent. In this sense, we could say that the operation is very similar to that of Snapchat.
The main difference that we can find between this function to send messages from Google Hangouts and that of the Snapchat social network, is that in the Google application we will not be able to tune or personalize the videos, but will be sent as we engrave them.
