The official Microsoft Edge app for Android devices has been updated and brings several important new features that should please the most demanding user. Microsoft has just added e-reader functionality to its Android app, and just like its iOS counterparts, you can read e-books from your mobile device. Also, it fixed some of its issues like web page load time and stability issues.

Edge for Android users, on the other hand, can now log in with a school or work account, and according to Microsoft, syncing of bookmarks and passwords will be added in a future update. Edge on Android can now read eBooks that were purchased from the Microsoft Store. This app is considered to be in preview mode, so it lacks most of the functionality like the desktop version, such as TTS and Cortana. The only thing you can do in the new Edge browser is change the font size and type. Unfortunately, things like bookmarks, annotations, and highlights are not supported at this time.
