Thus, a recent study of the Gopili travel portal, which is a search engine for train, bus, and plane tickets, which integrates blablacar and amovens, among others, has shown that users of Android devices they are more practical and off-road than those of iOS.

The first thing that catches our attention is that Android users tend to travel to places closer to home than iPhone users. Thus, the trips made by those who have smartphones with the Google system usually opt for trips within Spain.
On the contrary, those who have an iPhone are more likely to travel abroad, with London or Porto being some of their most common destinations.
The reason for this difference may be that, given the high price of Apple devices, their owners are usually people with a higher purchasing power. Therefore, they can afford to travel abroad more frequently.
Cheapest means of transport
Another point in which Android users bet more on the economy is when choosing the means of transport. Thus, people who have iPhone are more likely to travel by train or plane, faster and more comfortable means of transport but also more expensive.
On the other hand, those who have Android tend to opt more for taking trips by bus or shared car, according to the survey of the popular travel search engine. Applications like BlaBlaCar have made road travel more affordable for everyone.
The results of the survey are in line with the stereotype that Android users are less foodies than those who bet on Apple.
Tickets purchased from mobile
There is one aspect in which Android users do coincide with iOS users, and it is in the tendency to book their tickets to travel, by means of the telephone .
Thus, 60% of users of both systems have made reservations from their smartphones. Of course, while those who have an iPhone are more likely to make such reservations at night, Android users prefer to do so in the afternoon.
