Take photos, with the mobile or with the camera?

Now that we can find smartphones with very good camera, it is inevitable that we ask ourselves if we really need a compact or reflex camera, especially if we like to share our images on social networks.

Below we will see pros and cons to all the options.

Smartphone or camera?

Mobile cameras have their limitations

Let's start talking about the Android phones, which in recent years have become The most used. Even many professional photographers have used their mobile phone more than their camera in recent years. To avoid this temptation, some of them give up taking their cell phones with them when they are working...

The main advantage is that the mobile is a device that we usually carry with us at all times and allows us to connect to Instagram, Twitter or Facebook in a moment, as well as send our photos via WhatsApp. we'll just have to take a photo and share it to the second. But if our mobile does not have a good camera, it is more likely that we will not have a photo with the necessary quality.

The problem is that smartphones that have good cameras usually have very high prices. And unless we are also interested in other high-end features, it will be much more profitable for us to acquire a more normal cell phone and a good camera.

The camera loses immediacy

For less than the cost of a high-end smartphone, we can buy a reflex camera, with which we will take much higher quality photos than with the mobile.

The problem is that in this case, we will have to transfer the photos to the mobile or the computer before uploading them and that can be a waste of time. We will not be able to share these photos with the mobile directly, to publish them on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter, so we lose that immediacy that we are looking for so much, in the middle of the era of social networks.

In addition, the convenience of carrying the camera integrated into our smartphone in our pocket is not the same as having to carry a bag with the reflex camera, which weighs much more and does not exactly fit in a pants or jacket pocket.

The third option: the camera with WiFi

In today's market, we can increasingly find a greater variety of cameras that include wireless connectivity. Although it is also true that most models are in the price range between 600 and 800 euros. Although it is a bit expensive, the good thing is that you will have a quality camera to use for 5, 6, or even 10 years.

The investment is bigger, but considering that a cell phone rarely lasts more than a couple of years, if you are very fond of photography, it can be profitable. Therefore, it is the most recommended option for those who are really interested in taking professional and quality photos.

And what do you prefer, mobile camera, reflex or compact camera? leave your comment at the bottom of this article with the pros and cons you find.

RE: Take photos, with the mobile or with the camera?
If you want to take real photos when you go on a trip and see them at home and be able to observe their quality... depth, resolution... and be able to zoom in with great detail... have good quality images to print on good paper and always you're going to have and it's not going to be obsolete, or anything like that... a bridge camera with a good 60x zoom sweeps all Galaxy S7... S8.... S9… iPhone 6, 7, 8, 9…

Now for photos of little faces, stuff to upload to Instagram and record food that I eat and food that I expel… well, the mobile….

I prefer the mobile camera, without a doubt you carry it with you and it is versatile
