Actually, if you read the manual carefully, it will say that the barometer and altimeter are optional. Mine doesn't have it and it's original.

On the mobile screen it may show some numbers, such as a bluetooth password depending on how you have configured bluetooth security. You will have to insert that number into the watch if it asks for it.
