The PUBG game is now available on both Android and iOS mobiles – PlayerUnknown's BattleGrounds

PUBG PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds

PUBG is one of the trending games. And Tencent doesn't want to be outdone by the recent foray into Fortnite in the mobile world (currently only on iOS phones). Therefore, it has decided to unleash its own massive weapon on both Android and iOS mobile platforms. We are talking about PUBG, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, the hyper realistic guerrilla game.

The game is already available both on Google Play for Android and in the Apple App Store, and has been distributed in most of the main countries in the world. At the moment it is possible to download it as a free version of the game.

PUBG on Android now available, on iOS too

PUBG for Android and iOS phones now available

The game in acronym PUBG for mobile, is similar to the original version for PC computers. With the first map and the familiar shooting action intact, based on Battle Royale. And a very good point of this game is that it doesn't seem to take up too much space on the mobile device, with only about 890 MB of download.

“We are very excited about the international launch of PUBG Mobile on iOS and Android,” Tencent Vice President Chen Jerry said in a statement. “We are working hard to create an authentic PUBG mobile experience that players new and old will love. Special focus has been placed on controls and optimization to give players a smooth and intuitive experience."

Game features

Here are the game's features, straight from its official page:

Officially licensed by PUBG MOBILE, the original Battle Royale-style game is here! Unreal Engine 4 brings state-of-the-art, smooth graphics to your mobile device, creating a graphical and audio experience that perfectly recreates the PC version.

It is an authentic replica of the PC version. 100 players fall on a huge 8×8 km battlefield. Players fight to survive and eliminate each other, through strategy and skill. The last one standing wins! Winner, winner, Chicken Dinner!

Realistic graphics and HD audio

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds PUBG is developed with the 3D Unreal Engine 4, which offers a spectacular and adapted visual experience, with detailed rendering, an expansive HD map and more realistic scenes. High-quality audio with 3D sound effects and 7.1-channel surround sound makes gamers feel like they're on the real battlefield.

Realistic shots and movements on the map

With a huge selection of firearms, melee weapons and throwable weapons, realistic ballistic effects and trajectories, this is the perfect combat experience on mobile. Drive one of the various vehicles, to escape your enemies or to stalk your prey. You can team up with your friends and use voice chat to communicate with them, leading your strategy to success. Invite your friends to make the perfect team, go into battle together and collaborate via voice chat, adding to the realism.

Fair gaming environment

This game has been developed with powerful cheat avoidance mechanisms and optimized for a good number of mobile devices. This ensures an entertaining and fair environment for all types of players.

Future updates

Tencent will continue to make improvements to the PUBG MOBILE game as time goes by. But based on what we've read so far, it's a pretty solid game – so it's definitely time to hit download on your Android or iOS and see how it performs on your mobile.

If you can't wait any longer, you can download PUBG MOBILE:

Epic Games is going to release the full version of Fortnite for Android soon, but we fear that with the release of PUBG, developers are going to get a little stressed. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is also available on Xbox One and PC/Steam.
