OnePlus confirms 5 new OxygenOS features based on user feedback

RRecently, OnePlus launched a campaign called IDEAS that invited suggestions from the OnePlus community and other users to improve OxygenOS. Today, the company has confirmed the five features it is preparing for OxygenOS by taking cues from user-suggested ideas. You have a lot cheats for OxygenOS to try.

In a blog post, OnePlus said that it received 5,000 brilliant ideas and 25k likes on the ideas. The results of the beta phase of the campaign have ended with OnePlus adopting the following new features of OxygenOS.

5 new OxygenOS features

1. Always on display – always screen on

OnePlus has previously confirmed that it will bring Always On Display (AOD) as one of the OxygenOS features after several users requested it. This new OxygenOS feature will be available in August/September according to OnePlus.

2. Enable fingerprint lock for hidden images in gallery

This new OxygenOS feature will offer an additional layer of security, if someone tries to open a hidden image in the gallery. The idea received 594 likes on the OnePlus community platform.

3. Play sound, when the battery is fully charged

As of now, there is no way to know when your OnePlus device has been fully charged unless you have enabled the notification LED, which turns green when the smartphone is 100% charged. Now OnePlus brings a new feature that will play a sound when the battery is fully charged.

4. Folders inside the app drawer

OnePlus will offer a feature in OxygenOS that will allow you to group apps together, in a folder within the app drawer. This will make it easier to access apps as you can group them based on their nature or based on their usage.

5. Add more essential features to Zen mode

Zen mode is one of the most appreciated features of OxygenOS, and the company plans to make it even better by adding more essential features to it. OnePlus could add tools like calculator, calendar, etc. to the Zen way.

In addition to the 5 confirmed OxygenOS features above, OnePlus has also announced the ideas that will not make it to its Android skin.

  15. Allow users to choose which stock apps to install during setup

OnePlus has included the reasons why the aforementioned ideas have not been accepted.
