You can now send messages in Google Photos

Google has added private messages to Google Photos. This means you can now send messages to family and friends (or random contacts) without leaving Google Photos.

Which makes it much easier to share photos and videos through Google Photos. A function that many missed and that has now become a reality in its app.

Why hasn't Google implemented it before? Difficult to understand, in the competitive times we live in.

An infinite number of ways to communicate online

There are now so many ways to communicate with other people online, it's hard to keep track of all of them. There are all kinds of different messaging apps that allow you to chat with people, and many other platforms have built-in messaging as well.

That list now includes Google Photos, which has gotten a simple messaging feature. Google's idea, as detailed in su Blog, it's just making it easier to share your photos and videos with other people, but it also adds a social element to Google Photos.

How to send messages through Google Photos

To send a message to someone in Google Photos, open Google Photos and click the photo or video you want to share with someone. Click on the Share icon in the lower right corner and look for the name of the person you want to send it to.

You can do this by scrolling through your contacts or by clicking the Land and searching by name, phone number, or email. You can also create a New group. Once selected, add a message to the photo and touch Submit.

This starts a conversation thread. The recipient can reply with their own message, send you a photo, or like the photo you sent. You can write additional messages, add more photos to the thread, or click the Heart icon to express approval.

Now when you send photos and videos to your friends or family, you can share them in a private, ongoing conversation on @googlephotos. ? Here's how sharing within the app is simpler?

Everyone to use Google Photos

This definitely makes it easier to send and receive photos and videos through Google Photos. And giving people a chance to talk about what they've posted or submitted makes a lot of sense. Especially since over a billion people now use Google Photos.

The ability to send and receive messages means we'll have to update our list of useful Google Photos features. And to be honest, Google Photos is so good that we can even list reasons to use Google Photos over iCloud Photos.
