If you can't turn on HTC One, or access its settings, menus, etc. normally, you can still perform a factory reset by using the buttons.

1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then press and hold the POWER button.
2. Wait until the three Android images appear on the screen, then release the POWER and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
3. Use the VOLUME DOWN button to select FACTORY RESET and then press the POWER button to confirm.
