All smartphones have a maximum capacity of storage, not only in the internal memory, but also when inserting a card. Therefore, the first thing we have to do before buying is to make sure of the maximum that our Android mobile can accept.
Once we are sure of this, it is time to choose the capacity of our card. Obviously, the higher the capacity, the higher the price. Therefore, it is recommended that we think why do we need to increase capacity and buy based on it, instead of buying the biggest one and then not taking advantage of it.
Transmission speed
In addition to the capacity, the cards usually have a letter that indicates the class, on which the speed with which the data is transmitted depends. Class U is usually the fastest, while class C is usually a little slower, although it is enough if you are not going to transmit 4K video or the like.
Once again we have to consider what we want to use the card for, since the U-class it is faster, but it also has a higher price. The higher the capacity and the higher the data transmission speed, the prices rise. In any case, today there are several brands that compete and we find capacities of 64 GB and 128, at prices unthinkable a few years ago, when we used SD cards of half a gigabyte or 1 gigabyte at most.

The reality is that we cannot say that there are some brands that are considerably better than others. As long as we stick to the best known, like Sandisk, Kingston or Samsung, we should not have problems, so we can use the price as a determining factor.
