Battery

In this case, the Samsung Galaxy S6 has a battery of 2550 mAh not removable. Its performance is not too positive in terms of duration of use, in terms of charging if it stands out for being very fast. if we use it without any saving mode, it lasts us a few 20 hours and a half of use, with 2 hours and ten minutes of screen. As you can see, it is not what we expected from a device like this, although it would improve with a new Samsung Push Service update, but we do not know to what extent the autonomy will increase.

What we have verified is the difference in duration if we activate the Power saving mode. This mode lowers some features such as the performance of the device, although it is still excellent, or the brightness; but without being as strict as the Ultra Energy Saving mode, which will leave us with a few functions and a black and white screen. The autonomy increases this time until 1 day and 16 hours of use, with 2 hours and 45 minutes of screen.

It's not something to write home about either, but it's the consequences of such a compact design that a larger battery doesn't fit.

You have to take into account the different uses that each user will give it. For example, those who use more powerful games or listen to music with the speaker, will probably last less than someone who uses the device to answer messages and less intensive use.

Of course, not everything is bad news. The load of the Samsung Galaxy S6 is very fast, and also thanks to its wireless charging, we will not need any cable to return to 100%. With the charging cable, it was fully charged from practically 0%, at 1 hour and twenty minutes, with the fast charging charger that this Galaxy incorporates. 

In summary, a battery that complies without standing out, but with a fast charging that sets it apart from other devices and gives you a point in your favor.

There are important news here, such as the fact that Samsung has left aside Qualcomm and its Snapdragon microprocessors, to bet on its own processors, in this case a powerful exynos 7420 64 bit. This processor is composed of 8 nuclei, four of them at 2,1 GHz for heavier tasks and the others four at 1,5 GHz when you don't need as much power.

AnTuTu Benchmark

Well, before we start, let's say that the results can vary greatly if you have the energy saving mode activated, since this will reduce the power of the device. So we have decided to carry out two independent tests, one with full power and another with the saving mode active.

The results in both are amazing, surpassing any device today. It reaches 70.000 points if we take advantage of all the resources and 53.000 with the energy saving mode. If we compare it with the other most powerful smartphones on the market such as the Meizu MX4 or the Galaxy Note 4, it far exceeds them, since they do not reach 50.000.

In terms of video playback and compatibility, it supports almost all formats, except 8 that play partially (only video data) and another 2 that do not.

These are the numbers that Antutu throws up, but in the video we do some real performance tests, let's see.

Navigation

We carry out real navigation tests, to check fluidity, loading times...

As you can see in the video, the times are really good, despite not having fiber optics, and the fluidity is excellent, without appreciating any type of delay or lag. It even plays the videos very quickly, although we do jump times in them.

Applications

To check the performance within the apps, we are going to start with one about the weather. This app has different animations, such as showing the infrared satellite view according to the time. The load has been practically instantaneous.

Let's go now with Chrome, the default Android browser. It behaves the same as before, very fast and fluid.

It is the turn of Asphalt 8: Airborne, a racing game that requires great graphics processing and that not all smartphones are capable of moving correctly.
