Holo Backup, backups without root

The application is called Holo Backup, and allows us to make complete backup copies of our phone or tablet, with the main feature being the possibility of creating backups without the need to have root/super-user permissions.

Holo Backup is an application for our computer, since from there it creates backup copies of our device, and its function is to serve as a graphical interface for ADB Backup, which is only available for Android with versions 4 or higher. If we cannot do it by ourselves, do not worry because here we bring you the step-by-step procedure:

The first step we must do is activate USB debugging, in this way we can connect the PC to our device. We download Holo Backup (at the end of this article we will find the link for its download), when we open it we can find two files, the first TGZ for Linux versions and the second ZIP for Windows versions.

We execute any of the files, depending on the operating system of the computer. Then we will choose the path where we want our backup to be saved, through the Browse button.

There we will find five options, Backup all without system apps, which makes a backup of all information excluding system folders. Backup app data and device data, back up our data from the apps and the data that is stored in the device's memory. Backup all with system apps, backup of all information of system folders and apps.

backup apps will make a backup of all installed applications and finally we have Backup Storage / SD Card that makes a backup of all the external and internal content of the memory of our mobile or tablet.

Later we press the chosen option and the application will ask us to enter a password for our backup, after that we choose Data backup. The backup of the same will begin, and it can take seconds or minutes depending on the type of backup that we have selected and of course, the volume of files and data that we have on the tablet or phone.
