Samsung Galaxy S5: How to Hide Files Using Private Mode

In the last update of Samsung Galaxy S5, has incorporated a new function called Private mode and allows us to hide those personal data that we do not want to be visible, a way similar to what is included Android KitKat with the application named Knox.

Unlike what we have seen so far, it is similar to a profile, that is, it does not open a new session for us, since if we activate this mode, it automatically hides the files we have chosen, without a doubt a very important tool for those who they want to hide their private data and have a high level of security. Next, we will show you how to carry out this process..

Procedures to Hide Files on Galaxy S5

The first procedure to perform is to go to the Setting, there we will look for the private mode option, for this we access in Personalization. We will activate it and when this mode is already applied, we will be able to hide information located in the music player, gallery, video files and voice recorder. A disadvantage is that it does not offer us more options to hide.

After this, it will ask us to add an alternate key, if we are using the Fingerprint Scanner feature, we will be asked to verify our identity. We can also verify through a Pin, a password or a pattern, according to our interest. Then the type of security that we have chosen will ask us every time we activate the method.

Later we will go to the gallery, music player, voice recorder or video files that we want to hide. Then click on the menu and choose the option Move to private. In this way, the chosen files will be hidden when activating the Private mode.

After the whole procedure, we will disable Private Mode for the changes to take effect. We must bear in mind that until we turn it off, the changes will not take effect, so it is recommended to carry out this last process.

View list of selected files

Now if we want to see the list of all the hidden files that we have selected, we will go to Private Mode, then to My files, and there we will see the data that we have hidden. Without a doubt, this function is very useful to hide those private photos or personal files that we don't want anyone to see, increasing security in the face of losing the phone or, in the worst case, theft.

Surely it is a tool that all Galaxy S5 users will be able to use, it will only be necessary to get used to using it and in this way, it will get us out of trouble more than once.

In the private mode settings, there should be some option to copy those photos or not, or else in samsung kies.
