YouTube has been trying to moderate the comments section, for quite some time now. What they want is to remove you from this section, which is full of spam and random comments.
But, the video streaming giant now seems to be that you are testing a new change in the comments section, in the Android application.
As commented on Reddit, a user has recently received YouTube version 14.52.54 updated, the position of the comments section has changed.
It has now moved up and appears just below the "Subscribe" button, which may not be the best place to display other people's reviews.

This means that the video suggestions you see on the video playback screen are displayed below the comments.
Although it is true that many users love to read comments while watching the video and YouTube, it is taking your comments into account to test this design change.
However, the comments section today is filled with spam like we have never seen before. So it could possibly be a distraction for viewers. The comments on the Reddit post we discussed earlier share the same opinion, though comments open and work the same way as before.
We have not received this yet YouTube beta version, although we can register to download it, which means that we could test this function. It's hard to say if we'll get a new look in the comments section shown before the video recommendations.
