The app connects to your Google account and gives you the option to choose what you want to display on each side of the paper brochure you print. It could be contacts, tasks, weather details, maps, and even cutouts to store your debit/credit cards. The app also includes customizable paper apps, including recipes, phrasebooks, and sudoku, which will come in handy when you're bored, as they call it nowadays.
Paper Phone is an experimental open source Android app and we can't wait to see Google turn it into a feature people love and use on a daily basis.
Google researchers talk about this experiment saying: “Existing approaches often involve going offline and completely eliminating the use of a digital device. But we think this is sometimes inconceivable for people who rely heavily on their devices and can do without them entirely."
Therefore, they decided to give users access to information and other ways to relax while they are away from their phones. This way, they aren't missing out entirely.
