EMUI is the customization layer for android that Huawei smartphones have as standard. And it has some additional options that we do not find in mobiles of other brands.
One of them is the existence of a twin app, an application that will be very useful if you want to use two WhatsApp accounts at the same time.
What app twin allows is to duplicate some applications in the memory of our phone. In this way, we can have one of them configured with one of our accounts and another with another. And the problem of being able to use only one of them will be solved resolutely.
The applications from which we can create this virtual clone they are limited. That is, you will not be able to have twice any app you want. But WhatsApp is one of them, so this problem will be solved. And other apps like Facebook, Messenger or Snapchat will be duplicated as well.
How to activate app twin
To activate this function you will have to go to Settings> Applications> App twin. Next, you will see a list with all the applications that you can clone from those that you have installed on your device. And you will only need to indicate which of them you want to be duplicated.
In a couple of seconds, the twin app will be created. In principle it is a different application, which is installed in a different space. However, every time you update WhatsApp or any other app that you have cloned will update both the original version and the duplicate version.
When you open the application drawer, you will see how the icon of the app that you have cloned appears twice. The first the normal, and the second superimposed by a number two. Once we have entered this second, we can configure it to our liking with a new account.
Problems of duplicating your WhatsApp account
The only problem with cloning the applications is that Android will often ask you which of the two you want to use when you go to perform an action, which can be a bit tedious.
Also note that this feature only works well with the original Huawei launcher. If you use something else like Nova Launcher you might have some problems.

Samsung has another way to duplicate but also does it natively
Settings / dual messaging / whatsapp and creates the 2nd account.
Both work very well and both the Huawei one I have now and the Note 8 one I had do not give any problems.
I switched from Iphone to Android for this reason and I am highly satisfied.
