Are you looking for how to format a Huawei Mate 30 Pro? If you have a Huawei Mate 30 Pro and it no longer works as at the beginning, or you want to sell it or give it away, it may be time to reset to factory mode.
There are two different methods by which you can perform this process. We teach you to do it step by step both through Settings menu and through buttons and Recovery menu.
Format a Huawei Mate 30 Pro and reset to factory mode
Format via Settings menu
The easiest way to format your Huawei Mate 30 Pro is:
- We will go to the Settings menu.
- Once you’re there, enter System
- Then in Reset
- Then on Factory data reset.
- Once you have reached this point, a message will appear warning you that you will lose all the information you have. Therefore, we recommend you previously do a backup copy.
- It is possible that, before you start formatting the Huawei P30 Pro, it will ask you for password or pattern of your Huawei Mate 30 Pro. This is done for security reasons.
Reset the Huawei Mate 30 Pro via Recovery menu
If your Huawei P30 Mate Pro works so badly that you can’t even get to the Settings menu, don’t worry. There is a way to do it using phone buttons.
The first thing you have to do is make sure the phone is turned off. If you cannot turn it off normally, press and hold the power button for about 20 seconds.
The next step is to press the keys at the same time on and volume down. You will have to keep both buttons pressed for a few seconds. The moment you see that the Huawei logo appears on your screen, it will be time to release both buttons.
In the menu that appears, go to Recovery Mode. To move through this menu, you will have to use the volume buttons. You can confirm with the power button.
Within the Recovery menu, access wipe cache partition. There you can clear the cache, to make sure you delete everything you can have saved on your phone.
When you have cleared the cache of your Huawei Mate 30 Pro, you will return to the same menu at the beginning. In it, you will have to go to wipe data / factory reset. A screen will appear with a lot of No and Yes. You will have to go to yes. The process of resetting the Huawei P30 Pro to factory mode will have begun.
Once you have finished the process, you will return to the beginning menu. In it you will have to choose the Reboot System Now option. At that time, your smartphone will restart. And you will see that it is the same as when you took it out of the box. It’s time to use it again as if it were new.
