How to update your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to the latest version of Android

The Galaxy Note 4 is one of Samsung's most advanced devices, so for now it continues to receive most updates to the Android operating system.

Although usually when there is an update available we receive a notification on the smartphone, it is possible that you have missed it and now you do not know if the version you have installed is the latest.

It is important to keep the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, because when Android It is updated, not only does it provide us with new features, interfaces, etc, but it also corrects some security problems as well as performance improvements. But if you are not sure if the version you have installed is the latest one, you will only have to follow these steps to avoid problems and enjoy all the news that the renewed version of Android has brought us as it may be Android Lollipop 5.

Update to the latest version of Android step by step

  1. On the home screen, go to the Application icon.
  2. Once inside the applications menu, go to Settings.
  3. At the bottom of the menu, you will find the option About device, which you will have to enter.
  4. Once inside, go to Software updates.
  5. Within this menu, we will have to choose the option Update Now.
  6. A warning message that downloading software may cause a very large data usage, so it is recommended that we always carry out the updates when we are connected to a network WiFi. Once we verify that we are, we will click OK.
  7. At this time the device will check if there is any update available. This is a process that can take a few minutes.
  8. In the event that there is no update available, a screen will appear with the legend «The latest updates have already been installed«. In that case we have nothing pending and we can return to the initial screen to use our device as usual.
  9. In case there is an update available, it will take us to a screen in which we will simply have to accept. Keep in mind that the phone will be inoperative for a few minutes, so if you need to use it quickly, it is preferable that you leave the software update for another time.

Another option is to use Samsung Kies, the official Samsung program, to synchronize our mobile or tablet, make backup copies or also update it.

Although, as you can see, the process to find new updates is not too complicated, it is best to update to the latest version of Android when the corresponding notification appears on our Samsung Galaxy Note 4. And if before updating, you want to test how a new version works on your mobile, you can do it thanks to the Update app for Android!.

    note 4 update
In recent days a new update has appeared on my note 4.
I have done it with total normality but when it finishes and restarts it keeps saying that I have the update available and ready to be carried out.
I thought there must have been some error and I updated it again.
The same thing has happened again... I'm still waiting for the update.

    Problems updating
My problem is that every time I install a new update to my Note 4, which is very frequent for now, it deletes certain apps, including whatsapp, and it causes me a lot of trouble and time to have to install and restore the backup copies of the latter because of its size

I think you will have to install a ROM with Odin, there are tutorials on the net and on the sammobile website.
