When it comes to comparing mobile phones, we rely on 2D images on specialized websites for the look and dimensions of the device. Since we cannot hold the physical device in our hands, sometimes it becomes difficult to understand how the mobile will look like in real life.
Well, this website solves part of the problem by presenting 3D images of the latest mobile phones for us to compare. Spotted by a Reddit user, going by the name "Dung3onlord", the user posted about the site on the r/Android community.
Comparison of mobile phones in 3D
Hotspot3d.com is a website that helps users compare the latest mobile phones and smartphones in 3D. Currently, the devices listed on the website are not too many, but they contain some of the flagships, including the line Samsung Galaxy S20.
You can choose a mobile that you currently own to compare it with another that you plan to buy. The web page will give you the exact dimensions of the devices you are comparing. You can also choose the available smartphone colors from a dropdown menu below the device names.
3D rendering and light reflections
A unique feature of this website is that, as it is a 3D render, it also shows how light will reflect when you hold the device at various angles.
Entering the web and comparing mobiles, you can click on them and move around to see from all possible angles. The rendering quality of the 3D image is quite good with very clear details.
However, there is no option to zoom in or zoom in for a closer look at the devices.
Currently, there are only 41 devices to choose from, listed on this website. This list includes the latest iPhone lineup, the Google Pixel 4 lineup, the Galaxy Note 10 and S10 series, and some devices from Xiaomi, Honor, and OnePlus. You can start comparing your favorite smartphone while browsing.
