The PEGI system arrives to classify applications and games

Google Play has added the system PEGI for sort out the Android applications, depending on the age of the user to whom they are intended.

It is a system that informs if the discharge of an app for or tablets, it is appropriate so that (for example) it can be used by children or, if a game is enough complejo as to be worth downloading a adult. Let's see what this classification consists of.

PEGI (Pan European Game Information)

To solve this problem, Google has decided to add the PEGI (Pan European Game Information) classification system, a standard developed by the Interactive Software Federation of Europe and recognized in our continent because it is used to habitually classify games for video consoles and computers.

Surely it will sound familiar to many of you for a long time, not in vain it began to work in the spring of 2003 and large companies such as Nintendo, Microsoft or Sony have been using it all these years.

The system will soon be installed on Google Play. From Mountain View they assure that from the month of May, in the Android virtual store, you will be able to find a scoring system in the header image of the chosen app or game.

The weighting will differentiate the type of content of the download that we are going to carry out, so that in the case of Europe, it will differentiate between children, adolescents and adults.

In countries where there is a more severe classification system due to the existence of internal regulations, the index will be shown in greater detail.

Google has announced another novelty in the world of apps, in this case of special importance for developers. From now on, the application review time will be shortened.

Although the requirements regarding the policy of violent content and not correctly classified have been strengthened, the American company assures that in a few hours, a new tool uploaded to Google will be available for download by users.
