Sony's smartphone business might be down, but the Japanese company is still launching new devices.
The Sony Xperia 1 was launched at MWC 2019 earlier this year with a 21:9 screen, the first of its kind. It was followed by the Xperia 5, which was simply a mid-range version of the Xperia 1.
Due to such aggressive competition from Chinese phone manufacturers, Sony may have a fan base for its phones, who are waiting for the latest Android updates.
The company will not disappoint them apparently, since according to what has been published in an entry on its official blog, the update list of Android 10 for Sony Xperia.
Official list of Sony Xperia phones that will update to Android 10
sony will start distributing the android 10 update next monthie December.
First on its mobile phones launched in early 2019: Xperia 1 and Xperia 5.
The company will roll out Android 10 updates to a total of eight devices, with the remaining 6 receiving the update early next year.

While Sony intends to make Android 10 available for the aforementioned phones, it does mention that:
“Software implementation is a phased process: timing and availability will vary by market and/or carrier”
In the blog post, it is not known if the company will add more devices to the update cycle.
The Japanese company is the latest to join the party, announcing the list of Xperia phones to upgrade to Android 10. If you own an Xperia mobile phone and your device is on the list above, it's time to rejoice!

I'm a Sony fanatic, but lately you guys are making me change my mind since I can't get a newer Sony phone (I have a Sony Xperia L1). Every time I try to update, they tell me that they no longer have any Sony phones. Could you tell me if this is true since if so, I will have to change the brand, which would be a shame.
