Just a few days ago Sony launched the presale of its new flagship leading model, X. Those who were expecting a model full of novelties with respect to the previous model, are likely to feel slightly disappointed, since the changes, although interesting, are few.
But despite everything, it's still a Android mobile very interesting, so we are ready to show you its main changes and improvements.
Sony Xperia Z5, features and characteristics
Design
The appearance of the new Sony model is very similar to that of the previous models. It has a screen of 5,2 inches, Full HD 1.920 × 1080, as well as with a back where glass and metal dominate. It has slots for a single nanoSIM, microSD and an LED pilot light for notifications. It is resistant to water and dust… this time it seems so, it is IP65 and 68 certified. It is a phone with LTE (*4G) Cat 6 technology. It incorporates a fingerprint sensor, as well as aGPS connectivity, Bluetooth 4.1 wireless technology, DLNA Certified, WiFi MIMO, MHL 3.0 and NFC.
Power and performance
This is probably the aspect in which some changes have been missed the most with respect to the Xperia Z3+. The Xperia Z5 still uses the same processor, a Snapdragon 810 64 bit 8 core, a graphics processor Adreno ™ 430 GPU ,as well as the same RAM memory, of 3GB. However, some software updates have been made, running Android 5.1, to improve performance and the general operation of the terminal is quite fluid.
As for internal storage, it has 32 GB and the possibility of expanding that capacity by means of an SD card of up to 200 GB (it will seem like a NAS).
Camera
Without a doubt, one of the strongest points of the Xperia Z5, since offering a good camera has been the main priority of Sony engineers. The number of megapixels of the terminal has risen to 23, which is already a good sign, although it is not everything.
It has a 5x zoom on its rear camera, plus another 8x digital, with a 24mm wide-angle lens. It also has a sensor. Exmor RS with an ultra-fast autofocus, capable of activating in just 0,3 seconds, allowing you to take ideal photos, in 3,2,1..., recording in 4K
Battery
In principle, no changes have been made to the battery capacity of this Android mobile, which, as in the previous model, is still of 2.900 mAh. But, with the changes that have been made at the software and performance level, the creators of this smartphone assure that it will not be necessary to charge the battery during two days, although logically this will depend largely on the use we give it. They promise up to 40% faster charging, as well as the use of their standard Stamina for batteries
Availability and price of the Sony Xperia Z5
The Sony Xperia Z5 will go on sale next October 2, in green, black, other and white colors, it will be priced at 699 Euros, although you can already pre-order it on the Sony page. Deliveries are scheduled to start on October 2 with free shipping from the Sony Xperia Z5 official website.
