Android 11 is now official: we tell you its main news

We've been talking about it for several months now. Android 11 and the novelties it could bring us. But now it's official. The new version of Google's operating system has been presented, and we can now tell you what the main new features are, although it may still take a few weeks or even months to reach your smartphone.

Some changes are more eye-catching than others, but all of them will help your user experience become more comfortable.

Android 11: The most interesting changes

Accessibility improvements

Android 11 includes improvements to Google Voice Access, its voice control system. In addition, it also has support for writing in braille in GBoard and the possibility of scanning documents and food labels for people with vision problems.

Changes to notifications

Notifications in Android 11 will be separated into 3 groups: conversations, notifications and muted. Also, in conversation notifications, where WhatsApp messages go for example, you can sort the priority to make sure you don't miss interesting messages.

Personal and work profile

If you use the same mobile to work and for your personal life, from now on you will have it much easier. In the new version of Android, the separation between the personal and the professional profile becomes much simpler. In addition, you also have the possibility of configuring your smartphone so that it automatically switches from the personal profile to the work profile at certain times of the day. In this way, disconnecting when you leave work will be much easier.

Chat bubbles

All the chat bubbles, similar to the ones we can find in Facebook Messenger, have been in progress for several versions of Android, but it is now that they have finally arrived. A button will appear in the notification panel with which you can turn any conversation into a chat bubble. In this way, you can always have the conversation at hand in a corner of the screen so you can go in and out of it whenever you want.

Android 11

New media control

In Android 11, even if you have multiple playbacks at the same time, it won't take up the entire screen. You will have a single notification, integrated into the quick settings area, from which you can control all the content that is being played at the same time.

Smart answers

In Android 11, the smart responses that we can find in Gboard are based on what we are saying in the conversation, similar to how they do it in other tools such as Gmail. Of course, in principle this tool will only be available for mobiles pixel, although it is expected to be extended to other brands in the future.

What do you think of these Android 11 news? Do you think the new update will be worth it? You can tell us your impressions about it in the comments section that you can find at the bottom of this article.
